HowdyPartner ("we," "our," or "us") is operated by Sales Schema LLC. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the HowdyPartner web application and Chrome extension (together, the "Service").

1. Information We Collect

Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and an encrypted password. We use Supabase for authentication and data storage.

Connector and prospect data. You use HowdyPartner to organize your professional relationships. The data you store includes:

Names, job titles, companies, and locations of your connectors and prospects
LinkedIn profile URLs
Profile images (stored as LinkedIn CDN URLs, not downloaded to our servers)
Tags, notes, comfort levels, and pipeline stages you assign
Prospect wishlists you build for each connector

Data collected by the Chrome extension. When you use the HowdyPartner Chrome extension on LinkedIn, it reads publicly visible profile information (name, title, company, location, profile image URL, and LinkedIn URL) from the pages you visit. This data is only captured when you actively click "Add to Wishlist" or "Add Connector" — we do not passively scrape or harvest LinkedIn data in the background.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide and operate the HowdyPartner service
To store and display your connector and prospect data
To sync data between the web application and Chrome extension
To authenticate your account and maintain your session

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes. We do not use your data for advertising or to train machine learning models.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in a Supabase-hosted PostgreSQL database with row-level security — you can only access your own data. All communication between the extension, web app, and our database uses HTTPS encryption.

Authentication tokens are stored locally in your browser (via chrome.storage.local for the extension, or browser session storage for the web app) and are refreshed automatically. Tokens are never shared with third parties.

4. Chrome Extension Permissions

The HowdyPartner Chrome extension requests the following permissions:

storage — To save your session and current connector selection locally in the browser
activeTab — To interact with the current LinkedIn tab when you use the extension
Host access to linkedin.com — To read publicly visible profile data from LinkedIn pages and display the extension's UI (sidebar, buttons)
Host access to supabase.co — To communicate with our database for reading and writing your connector and prospect data

The extension only activates on linkedin.com pages. It does not access any other websites or collect data outside of LinkedIn.

5. Third-Party Services

Supabase: Database hosting and authentication (Supabase Privacy Policy)
Netlify: Web application hosting (Netlify Privacy Policy)

We do not use analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising services.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at the email below. Upon deletion, all connector data, prospect wishlists, and account information are permanently removed from our database.

You can also request to access or correct any data stored in your account.

7. Children's Privacy

HowdyPartner is designed for business professionals. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
